Marcela Tumino

My name is Marcela Tumino, and I am currently a Contract Administrator based in Argentina. I have been part of Boart Longyear for the past 16 years.

I joined the company in 2010 as a Personnel Logistics Assistant. At that time, I had just returned to Mendoza, Argentina, after living and working in Spain for nine years. As I began searching for opportunities with well-established companies, Boart Longyear invited me to interview for a three-month temporary role within the Logistics team. I embraced the opportunity, and at the end of that assignment, I was offered a permanent position, which I was delighted to accept.

During my first twelve years with the company, I worked in Personnel Logistics, where I gradually took on new responsibilities and expanded my skills as the business and the team evolved. Through continuous learning and the opportunities provided by the company, I was able to grow professionally and gain valuable experience.

In 2022, I was offered the opportunity to move into the Commercial team as a Contract Administrator. It was an exciting new challenge and an important step in my professional development. With comprehensive training and the ongoing support of my colleagues, I successfully transitioned into my new role. Today, I continue to take on greater responsibilities, supporting both Argentina and Chile while remaining committed to learning, growing, and contributing to the success of the business.

What I value most about working at Boart Longyear is the people. Over the past 16 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside many talented colleagues who, over time, have become much more than coworkers—they have become like family.

I believe one of the greatest strengths of Boart Longyear Argentina is our culture of teamwork and mutual support. We are always working toward the same goals, helping one another, and celebrating our achievements together.
